Negaunee – A benefit swim in memory of Linda (Ward) Halverson will be held on Sunday, August 5 at 11 a.m. at Teal Lake in Negaunee.
The swim is three miles and ends at Al Quaal in Ishpeming. Participants should arrive by 10:30 a.m.
Halverson died in boating accident in 2010 while visiting a family cottage in Little Lake. Funds raised at the swim will be donated to Beacon House.
