Marquette – The 2nd Annual Lions Field Recreation Area “Catch the Spirit” Community Day will be held on Saturday, August 4 beginning at 9 a.m. in Lions Field in Marquette Township.
The event will begin with softball as community teams raise funds for batting cages. The National Noon Time Out Party begins at 11 a.m. featuring fire trucks and rescue vehicles, and the dunk tank with local celebrities opens.
The Marquette Township Fire Department will offer food concessions from 11 a.m. to close. Pony rides and and 18 foot slide will be offered for kids from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Texaco Country Showdown begins at 2 p.m. The beer tent will be open from 2 p.m. to close. There will be local live music and Sunny 101.9 DJ’s playing all your favorite music from 4 p.m. to close.
The celebration will continue late into the evening! Join your neighbors for a great time and “Catch the Spirit” in Marquette Township.
