Marquette – The Marquette Matters Mural Project is now complete and will be available to view beginning Saturday, July 21, at the Marquette Commons.
A public reception for the artist and all youth involved will be held on Tuesday, July 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Marquette Commons. Mike Waite will provide musical entertainment.
Over 120 area youth, ages 5 to 20, worked with artist Elisabeth Genske over a three day period to create 10 mural panels. The images on the panels were designed by Genske, an NMU Art and Design major, and represent aspects of Marquette’s superior quality of life.
