Marquette – Percussive Attack Camp, an Intensive Summer Workshop will be offered from July 30 to August 3. PAC is a week-long, 5 hour a-day camp for students, ages teen to adult instructed by percussionist Carrie Biolo.
The camp features five days of rhythmic study and skill building culminating in 2 public concerts. This year’s featured artists are musician Jeff Kowalkowski and dancer Maria Formolo.
PAC founded in 2010 by Carrie Biolo and Cindy Whitehouse, is Marquette County’s premier music camp for burgeoning percussionists. PAC’s mission is to provide a milieu for the comprehensive study of sound and rhythm through the application of auditory percussive attacks on music. Key to the mission is intensive, performance-based instruction, through deep immersion in a professional and engaging environment.
As an ongoing percussion ensemble offered through the Marquette Area Public Schools community enrichment program, PAC students range in age from Jr. High School through Adult.
