Marquette – The Bluesday Tuesday series will present a screening of “Rory Gallagher: Live at Montreux” on Tuesday, May 29 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The film features outstanding concert footage of the legendary Irish guitarist, who played the renowned Montreux Festival five times, spanning his breakthrough years in the mid-seventies right up to the year before his tragic early death at the age of 47 in 1995. Gallagher was a talented guitarist known for his charismatic live performances and dedication to his craft, Gallagher’s albums have sold in excess of 30 million copies worldwide.
There is no admission charge to attend the event which is co-sponsored by the Marquette Area Blues Society and the Friends of the Peter White Public Library.
