Big Bay – The 29th Annual Big Bay Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, February 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, February 8 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Lake Independence in Big Bay.
Registration buttons are $5 for adults and $1 for children up to the age of 16, and available at local businesses.
Judging will be at the Beach House in Perkins Park. Check the number on the back of each button for a chance to win prizes to be awarded each hour.
Hot coffee, chili and pop will be available. Winning fishing awards will be given on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Thunder Bay Inn.
