Hancock – A Perspective on the Quincy Mine Site will be presented on Wednesday, June 25 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Quincy Mine in Franklin Township.
This is the 100 year anniversary of the construction of the Quincy Mining Company's Number 2 Shaft Rockhouse.
Tours of the mine will be available until 4 p.m. A pasty meal for $5 per person will be served from 5:30 to 6 p.m. in the 1894 Hoist House. A presentation on the Quincy mine will follow the meal.
Proceeds will go to the Keweenaw Chapter Local Scholarship Fund.
