Negaunee – The Marquette County Health Department will sponsor free child safety seat check on Friday, June 20 from noon to 4 p.m. at Fox Motors, 701 U.S. 41 E., Negaunee.
The safety seat, the vehicle it's used in and the child must be present. Seat checks take about 30 minutes. Certified child passenger safety technicians will conduct the checks.
Safe Kids estimates that 85 percent of all car seats are improperly installed. Children must be in a booster seat until they are 8 years old or 4 feet, 9 inches tall.
