Marquette – The Lake Superior Community Partnership is collecting items for musher bags for U.P. 200 Sled Dog Championship and Midnight Run participants.
Area school children will place the donated items into bags they have decorated, then present the bags to the mushers at registration.
Organizers seek donations of 100 items for the bags, to include: magnets, lip balm, flashlights, granola bars, candy, notepads, pens, coupons for free meals, first aid supplies, or other items.
Drop off donations between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at the Lake Superior Community Partnership office, 501 S. Front Street in Marquette.
Donations will be accepted through Monday, February 16.
