Marquette – Dallas Seavey, the 2012 Iditarod winner, will speak on Monday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m. in the Michigan Room of the University Center at Northern Michigan University.
Seavey will share his experiences in the 2012 Iditarod, where he
beat his father and grandfather in the process and also became the youngest champion of the famed race. Seavey’s grandfather is one of the three founding members of the race and his father was the 2004 winner.
The grueling event began in Willow, Alaska on March 4, Seavey’s 25th
birthday. Nine days, four hours and 29 minutes later, he crossed the
finish line in Nome.
The Seavey’s fuel their teams with Momentum Premium Athletic Dog Dog
Food, made by Dr Tim’s Pet Food Company of Marquette, proud to be a part of this historic finish and part of the Dallas Seavey Racing Team.
