The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Ishpeming Transportation Service Center (TSC) is having a public meeting to discuss upcoming construction on US-41/M-28 between Marquette and Harvey.

MDOT will be reconstructing US-41/M-28 from the Carp River in Marquette to Bayou Street in Harvey , and resurfacing the highway from Bayou Street to the US-41/M-28 intersection in Harvey . This project also will include construction of a multi-use pathway along Lake Superior .
While this project will require lane closures with traffic shifts, one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. Temporary turn lanes will be maintained at driveways and roadway approaches, and a temporary traffic signal will be installed at the Marquette Branch Prison entrance. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times.
Construction is scheduled to begin in April and be completed in October.
