Calendar – Education – Civil War Presentation – Apr. 10

Marquette – Learn about Marquette County residents who served in the Civil War over 150 years ago on Tuesday, April 10 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

Presenters Judy Conrad, Jeffrey Carlson, Alan Nelson and Gary White are affiliated with Albert and James Lyon Camp No. 266 of the Upper Peninsula chapter of the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War. They will showcase their research on Marquette County residents who fought for the North during the War Between the States. Fifty one Union Veterans are currently acknowledged and research is ongoing to find more. Albert T. Jackson was one of these veterans and his remains are buried in Marquette’s Park Cemetery.
