Calendar – Education – “Elect Her” Conference – Mar. 13

Marquette – Northern Michigan University will hold its third “Elect Her” Conference on Tuesday, March 13 from 5 to 9 p.m. in room 109 of the Learning Resources Center.

U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow will be the conference’s keynote speaker via Internet stream.

The free event focuses on training young people, particularly women, in the skills needed to campaign for an elected office and to take on university leadership roles, such as serving on their school’s student government.

Elect Her training is sponsored by American Association of University Women and Running Start, a non-partisan program that financially supports young women running for federal office.
