Harvey – The youth of the Marquette Unitarian Universalist Congregation will sponsor the fourth annual Heifer International soup and dessert dinner on Saturday, December 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Marquette UU Meeting House, M-28 East in Harvey.
A variety of homemade soups and desserts will be available for a donation in any amount. All proceeds will go to Heifer International to support the purchase of livestock to alleviate hunger and poverty in communities around the world.
Gifts of cows, pigs, goats, bees and chickens will be selected to help impoverished families and communities become more self-sufficient.
