Marquette – Learn the basics of book repair at the “Book Hospital” on Wednesday, March 21 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library Community Room.
Participants should bring several books that need some TLC to practice on and learn how to perform basic repairs to enhance the use and life of their well loved books. Simple repairs such as loose pages, torn covers and split spines will be covered as well as specific issues of participants worn out reading material.
Books that need evaluating by library staff for more extensive repairs are also welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron to class to protect clothing.
The cost for the three hour workshop is $40 per person which also provides the necessary supplies for the class and for more book repair at home.
