Marquette – A free educational program on service dogs will be held on Wednesday, January 25 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Susan Shaver will be the presenter, accompanied by her service dog, Tiki, who recently passed his public access tests in Washington, D.C. Attendees will learn how service dogs assist their owners in everyday life, where they can and can’t go, related laws and ADA requirements, proper etiquette when encountering a service dog and which breeds are best suited to assist owners.
The event is co-sponsored by the Northern Center for Lifelong Learning and the Marquette Senior Center. There is no cost, but advance registration is requested by Friday, January 20. Contact Al Reynolds at 360-4167 or 475-9836.
