Marquette – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will sponsor an ethnic dinner featuring traditional Native American cuisine with a contemporary twist Thursday, February 12 at the Jacobetti Center at Northern Michigan University.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a tasting buffet of conch, duck and wild rice cakes.
Dinner at 6:30 p.m. will feature buffalo stew and watercress salad, with a Lakota plum cakes selection for dessert. Each participant will receive a recipe booklet of the evening's foods and other Native American dishes.
Cost is $26 for NCLL members, $31 for others. Registration deadline is Tuesday, February 3; call Carolyn McDonald at 228-9847.
