8-10 Media Youth Journalism Program General Interest Meeting Nov. 11

Ishpeming – 8-18 Media, a youth empowerment journalism program of the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum, is opening a west end bureau in Ishpeming.

There will be a general interest meeting on Tuesday, November 11 at 3:30 p.m. at the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library for ages 8 to 18 from the western end of Marquette County.

Radio and print stories on youth-related issues produced by 8-18 Media are broadcast on local radio stations and published in local papers. 8-18 Media journalists have covered stories in Japan, Alaska and New York City, and have attended every Democratic and Republican National Convention since 1992.

This free program is for children of all abilities, with no academic prerequisite. For information, call Dennis Whitley at 226-7874.
