Marquette – A Special Education Mini Conference will be held on Saturday, January 31 at MARESa, 321 E. Ohio Street in Marquette for parents and professionals.
The conference begins with registration at 8 a.m. with morning keynotes at 9 a.m.
Keynote sessions will include an overview of special education, effective communication, and IEP participation.
Lunch will be provided. Afternoon breakout sessions will include effective communication part two, educational evaluations and assessments, assistive technology in special education, the Michigan Merit Curriculum and how it relates to special education, and discipline and prevention – keeping students in school through positive behavior supports.
Registration is $10, which included lunch, conference materials and a special education manual.
