Marquette – A Winter Weather Seminar will be offered on Tuesday, October 18 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Matthew Zika of the National Weather Service will provide details on the challenges of winter weather forecasting in Upper Michigan, a review of last winter, how to take accurate snow measurements, the winter outlook for Upper Michigan, and how the public can get involved in reporting winter weather to the National Weather Service.
The 90 minute seminar is free and open to the public and will be followed by a time for questions. Anyone interested in learning more about winter weather in Upper Michigan is encouraged to attend.
