Marquette – A special meeting of the NMU Board of Trustees will be held Thursday, September 1 at 2:30 p.m. in 602 Cohodas Hall (some trustees may participate via teleconference).
The sole purpose of the meeting is to vote on the previously negotiated agreement between the university and AFSCME Local 1094. The union is composed of about 133 maintenance, dining services and police employees. Members voted 61-30 in favor of ratifying the contract in late July. The agreement must now receive official approval from the NMU Board of Trustees.
