Calendar – Outdoors – North Country Trail Hikers Mackinac Bridge Crossing – Registration Deadline – Sept. 3

Marquette/Mackinac City – The North Country Trail Hikers will participate in the annual Labor Day Mackinac Bridge Walk on Monday, September 5.

Labor Day is the only day of the year that hikers may traverse this 5 mile segment of the North Country National Scenic Trail, the longest national scenic trail in the country at 4,600 miles.

This year’s certificate for walking the bridge will have the North Country Trail seven-state logo on the back. Participants will car pool, leaving Marquette no later than 5 a.m. on September 5, stopping along the way for breakfast. After walking the bridge, the group will return to Marquette, with a meal stop along the way.
