Calendar – Music – Negaunee City Band Concert – Aug. 3

Negaunee – The Negaunee City Band will perform a concert on Wednesday, August 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Outdoor Performing Arts Center at the east end of Iron Street in Negaunee.

Marches will include “Jubilee,” “St. Louis Blues March,” “The Crosley March,” and Sousa’s “Foshay Tower Washington Memorial March.” Other numbers are “Variations on a Korean Folk Song,” “Irving Berlin’s Songs for America,” and highlights from “Kiss Me Kate.” The flute section will be featured in “The Penny-Whistle Song,” while fans of crooners and big bands will enjoy “Salute to Ol’ Blue Eyes” and “Big Band Classics.” The concert concludes with the traditional “Just a Closer Walk with Thee.”
