Marquette -The Marquette County Health Department, along with the Marquette County WIC Program, will sponsor three events in Marquette to promote breastfeeding.
A breastfeeding awareness walk will be held on Wednesday, August 3 beginning at noon at Mattson Lower Harbor Park.
A Big Latch On Event, part of a nationwide event to break a world record for most babies breastfeeding at one time, will take place on Saturday, August 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the courtyard of the U.P. Children’s Museum.
There will be a community “WIC-nic” breastfeeding celebration on Saturday, August 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Marquette Commons. The event will include games, food, prizes and informative sessions on breastfeeding.
