The Upper Peninsula Land Conservancy will show the documentary “Subdivide and Conquer” on Wednesday, August 17 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
This film highlights the consequences of poorly planned urban development and discusses alternatives, including more centralized, community-focused city designs.
The film is appropriate for all ages and will be followed with
discussion led by a panel of local civic and educational leaders
specializing in community development.
Membership forms for UPLC will be available, refreshments will be provided, and donations are encouraged. The UPLC is a non-profit land trust located in Marquette that assists
private landowners in the preservation of their lands utilizing
Conservation Easements.
