Skandia – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “How to Put Your Garden to Bed Before Winter” on Friday, October 3, at the Dancing Crane Farm in Skandia.
Participants may meet for car pooling at 12:15 p.m. in the Berry Events Center east parking lot in Marquette, or at 12:30 p.m. in the Jack's Superserv parking lot in Harvey. The group will return approximately three hours later.
Farm owner Natasha Gill will give tips on preparing gardens for the winter and for next spring. Participants may see potato and tomato harvesting, and the greenhouses will be in full production.
Cost is $4 for members, $7 for others. Registration deadline is Friday, September 26. For information or to register, call Will Huggard at 228-2316.
