Marquette – In conjunction with May as Mental Health Month, the Peter White Public Library will host an informational program on hidden disabilities due to undetected vision problems on Thursday, May 19 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room.
Dr. Heidi Johnson, optometrist, will discuss how many children and adults who have problems adjusting to school or work demands may have underlying, undetected vision problems. This program will identify necessary visual input skills, and highlight treatment options to boost neurologic maturation and develop visual skills to reduce or eliminate barriers to learning and reading.
