Marquette – The Marquette Choral Society will present a concert of works by Ralph Vaughn Williams, Dave Brubeck and Richard Biggs on Saturday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. and and Sunday, April 17 at 3 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall at Northern Michigan University. The choral society will be joined by the NMU university choir and madrigal singers.
Four soloists from the NMU choirs will sing during the Williams “Mass in G Minor”: Lindsay Luft, Martha Lundin, Carl Safford and Andrew Shirtz from Marquette. Floyd Slotterback directs the Choral Society and the NMU student groups. Accompanist is Lynne Lanczy.
The annual Upper Peninsula Choral Leadership Award will be presented to Sheila Leadbetter Grazulis of Marquette and Anthony Beacco of Negaunee.
