Marquette – To kick off the start of the 2011 skate season, NMU Skate and Snow will attempting (and succeeding) to break the world record for “largest skateboard parade” with the Marquette Informal Longboarding Foundation on Sunday, April 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Academic Mall on the campus of NMU.
All they have to do is beat the old record of 250 people. This will be a huge, day long event with live music, prizes, free stuff and much more. Events include a costume contest, a dance-off, and 2 games of S.K.A.T.E. (long and short board competitions).
