Marquette – The Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center at Northern Michigan University will present a monthlong series of events tied to its exhibition “Across the Border: Canadians in the Upper Peninsula.”
Martin Reinhardt of the NMU Center for Native American Studies will present “The Anishinaabeg and the Border” on Thursday, March 10 at 7 p.m. in Mead Auditorium, in the West Science Building.
An Anishinaabe Ojibway citizen of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, Reinhardt will discuss the relationship of the Anishinaabeg people with the political border that exists between Canada and the United States.
The event is free and open to the public.
