Marquette – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “An Excursion to Antarctica” on Tuesday, January 18 at 7 p.m. in Room 101-B of the Superior Dome.
Filmmaker and world traveler Frida Waara will describe the month she and a team spent at the South Pole, where their mission was to experience life on the edge. With the aid of photos, Waara will discuss her experience, which was filled with challenges, tension and obstacles. The team’s findings will become part of an upcoming film, “Condition One: Extremes and the Human Spirit,” produced by the National Science Foundation.
