Marquette – The community is invited to help choose the winners for the Winter Wonderland Cake Decorating Contest at the Peter White Public Library. The cakes will be on display for viewing and voting on Saturday, December 11 at 2 p.m. in the Community Room.
Cash prizes will be awarded in professional, adult amateur and youth categories. A people’s choice award for each category will be selected by audience vote. Members of the library’s Tasty Reads book group will serve as judges for the first and second prizes in each category.
After judging, the cakes will be cut up and shared with the audience, along with hot coffee donated by Starbucks.
The contest is in conjunction with the library’s annual holiday display of decorated trees and wreaths display. For information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
