Marquette – Northern Michigan University’s health, physical education and recreation department will present a student dance recital on Friday, November 19 at 1 and 7 p.m. in the studio in Room 130 of the Physical Education and Instructional Facility.
Dances to be featured include ballet, modern, jazz, Middle Eastern and others. Local musicians and drummers will be providing music for some of the pieces, while other dancers will also be singing simultaneously.
The first part of the recital will feature a composition performance on the theme of relationships. Students were instructed to arrange a dance about the relationship of what is male to what is female. The performances will feature both NMU students and non-students.
