Negaunee – The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter (formerly the Marquette County Humane Society) is offering a cat adoption special Friday and Saturday, November 19 and 20. The first eight kittens or cats adopted on each of those days will be offered at no cost, courtesy of shelter supporters. All other cat and kitten adoptions those days will be offered at a 50 percent discount.
The shelter is overflowing with cats in need of loving homes. Shelter hours are noon to 4 p.m. seven days a week. For more information, to sponsor a cat or donate wish list items for the shelter, visit www.upaws.org or call 475-6661.
