Negaunee – A theatrical performance of “The Trouble in Thor,” the story of a 1924 mining tragedy in a U.P. mining town, will be presented on Sunday, October 24 at 2 p.m. in the Negaunee High School auditorium.
The dramatization, adapted by Gail Galotta of Norway, includes a cast of 15 performers, and is based on the book “Trouble in Thor” by Vulcan native Charlotte Armstrong.
Tickets cost $10 and are available at Superior View Studio in Marquette, the Country Village Bookstore in Ishpeming, and at the Midtown Bakery and the Michigan Iron Industry Museum, both in in Negaunee. Proceeds will benefit the Michigan Iron Industry Museum’s auditorium seat replacement fund drive.
