Marquette – In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Marquette General Cancer Center will offer a free breast cancer risk clinic on Wednesday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Specialty Clinic on the sixth floor of the Robert C. Neldberg building at MGH.
Women will be seen in 30-minute appointments by an oncology nurse practitioner or a breast care coordinator. A breast health history will be taken and personalized breast self-exam instruction will be offered. The Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool (Gayle model) will be used.
Rebecca MacFalda, Marquette General genetics counselor, will also be available to answer questions. Appointments are required. For information or an appointment, call 225-3500.
