Great Lakes Radio, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer in the Marquette Michigan area looking to fill two positions in Sales and Marketing.
The positions available are for one part-time and one full-time Sales Assistant. Pay will start at $7.75 per hour but the bar is high and the expectation is that within 12 months, the Sales Assistant can advance to the position of highly competitive but highly rewarding Media Sales Executive.
Candidate must have excellent customer service skills to service the client at the highest level possible. Candidate needs to be highly organized, work well under pressure, extremely detail oriented and extremely good at problem solving. Must have great people skills including professional language skills and the ability to creatively take an idea and turn it into reality for the client. Must be able to multitask, learn new skills quickly and combine all skills to solve problems. This position requires a strong sense of goals with a strong desire to increase income through performance-based sales.
Required skills for these positions include general office skills, filing and organization, excellent computer skills with experience using spreadsheets, MS Office or Open Office type programs, editing simple presentation graphics for proposals, e-mail, internet research and well-developed writing skills. Excellent public relation skills are a must with a strong knowledge of eCommerce and social networking with treading business tools. Must be comfortable with public speaking and display meticulous business correspondence with the ability not to just communicate but to effectively persuade.
Preferred experience would be 2 years of College or 5 years of sales experience but it is not required for the position. Great Lakes Radio would like the candidate to have the ability to develop skills well beyond where they are, to learn, grow and succeed a wide-variety of always changing marketing tasks.
Successful Candidate is expected to start at entry level but use initiative, drive and personal effort to advance from assistant to full-time Media Sales Executive. This position will require quickly learning a large range set of skills while developing technical skills, sales skills, leadership skills under the direct mentoring of a Master Media & Sales Marketing Executive.
