Marquette – The Peter White Public Library will host a program on adoption options in the state of Michigan on Thursday, September 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room.
The program celebrates the Michigan Heart Gallery exhibit on display through September in the library’s circulation lobby. The traveling exhibit highlights children waiting for adoption and is on loan from the Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange in Ypsilanti.
MARE representatives will offer an informational session about the adoption process and how their organization serves as an information and referral service for prospective adoptive parents interested in adopting children with special needs and also serves adoption workers looking for homes for these children.
Local agencies will have information booths on display at the program. Light refreshments will be served after the presentation, and attendees will have an opportunity to speak with MARE representatives.
