Marquette – Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 234 West Ridge, Marquette, will host a “Glendi” (Greek for “celebration”) on Sunday, August 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. in honor of the church’s namesday.
In addition, the ladies of the church will have a Bake Sale from 1-3 pm offering an assortment of Greek pastries for your delight. All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the church.
Tickets are $25 each and includes a dinner of various Greek favorites, salad, dessert and beverages, plus all the friendly fellowship you can enjoy – Greek-style, of course! Dinner will be served from 4:30 pm to 6 pm. Tickets are available until Friday, August 13, at Vango’s Restaurant. I
