Marquette – “In the Beginning,” Evan Premo’s opera and quintet, will be presented on Friday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Kaufman Auditorium in Marquette.
Evan Premo’s opera “The Diaries of Adam and Eve” with text by Mark Twain, which premiered in 2007 at Pine Mountain Music Festival, will be reprised with Nathan Brian, Mary Bonhag and the Bergonzi String Quartet. The evening will also feature the world premiere of Premo’s string quintet based on the Anishinaabe creation story performed by the BSQ plus Premo on double bass.
