Marquette – The Shiras Planetarium, located in the rear of Marquette Senior High School, will present the program “Stars of Autumn and War of the Worlds by Orson Welles” on Monday, October 5 at 7:30 p.m.
The program begins with a short program, “Stars of Autumn” in which you will learn about the reason for the seasons, meteor showers, the moon and the stories behind the constellations of fall.
The feature program, “War of the Worlds” is a Halloween tradition. Enjoy the digitally created atmosphere that is unparalleled while listening to the classic radio broadcast by Orson Welles. Come experience the cultural icon under the starry dome.
Doors open at 7:15 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens. Please no unattended children due to noise concerns.
