Marquette – The Michigan State Employee Retirees Association will meet on Wednesday, May 19 at noon at the Holiday Inn, Marquette.
Guest speaker will be Alvin Whitfield, legislative representative for the Michigan State Employee Retirees Association, addressing the challenges of state retirees regarding health care, a constitutional convention and the state budget.
Arva Overton of Blue Cross Blue Shield will answer questions.
The lunch meeting is open to state of Michigan retirees and current employees, 50 or older. Meal cost is $12. Reservation deadline is Friday, May 14. Call Tony Grudnoski at 228-8670.
