Chassell – Copper Country Humane Society will host the first ever “Paddle for Pets” on Sunday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Chassell Park.
The goal is to get 100 paddlers to join in this fun event and each person who gets at least $10 in pledges or donates $10 to participate, will be entered into a drawing for some great prizes.
CCHS has made pledging easy. Go to www.firstgiving.com/38313 and create your own fundraising page and email this to friends and family for their support or you can print off a paper pledge sheet and get pledges in person (go to www.cchumanesociety.com and print off pledge sheet).
To add more fun to the event, Down Wind Sports will be there with a selection of new kayaks for people to check out as well. Participants must bring their own kayak or canoe and a life jacket for each person paddling.
