Negaunee – The 14th annual Heikki Lunta fishing derby will be held on Saturday, January 17 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Teal Lake in Neagunee.
Tickets are available at Buck's Party Store, Chapper's Pub and Holiday Station Store in Negaunee, Wilderness Sports and Holiday Station Store in Ishpeming, and Gwinn Bait and Tackle.
Pre-registration is $5 for adults and $1 for kids 12 and younger; on event day, the charge is $6 for adults and $2 for children. State of Michigan rules and regulations apply and a valid Michigan fishing license is required.
A variety of prizes in various categories will be awarded in both adult and youth categories. Same-day registration and weigh-in will take place at Paisano's Pizza, on the shores of Teal Lake. All participants are eligible for raffle prizes and all youth participants will receive prizes. Must be present to win!
