Marquette – Violence prevention educator Paul Kivel will present “Taking Action for Community and Justice In and Out of the Classroom” on Monday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Whitman Hall Commons at Northern Michigan University.
Kivel also will lead several workshops for NMU students, faculty and staff.
A social justice educator, activist and writer, Kivel has been an innovative leader in violence prevention for more than 27 years. He is a trainer and speaker on men’s issues, racism and diversity, challenges of youth, teen dating, family violence, raising boys to manhood and the impact of class and power on daily life.
