Harvey – “Parents, Teens and Money Matters” will be offered on Sunday, March 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Harvey.
Did you know that U.S. teenagers spent $159 billion on everything from movies and French fries to clothes and iPods in 2005? 2/3 of teens consider themselves knowledgeable about shopping for a good deal but less than half say they know about money matters ranging from credit cards to balancing a checkbook.
This fun, interactive evening will include talk about money, values, a free meal, babysitting service, and door prizes, including $50 and $100savings bonds from various local financial institutions.
Please pre-register before March 17 by calling the church at 249- 3122 or email princeofpeacemqt@charter.net.
The event is sponsored by Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with grant money from the Northern Great Lakes Synod.
