Marquette – The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum in Marquette will sponsor a Cummerbunds and Chooks: Fueling the Fire with a Fun Fund Raising Fete on Friday, March 19 at Upfront and Company in downtown Marquette.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a cash bar and dinner, followed by dancing at 8:30 p.m. with music by the Marquette Senior High School String Ensemble and the Superior Swing Orchestra. Fun dress with a theme of “Yooper formal” is encouraged. Themed prizes will be awarded throughout the evening.
Tickets cost $50 each. Proceeds from this event will go toward establishing a fund to assist with the museum’s energy expenses. Tickets are on sale through Wednesday, March 17 at the museum, located at 123 W. Baraga Ave. Tickets may also be ordered by calling 226-3911.
