Marquette – The Superior Upper Peninsula Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer a dog and cat first aid class on Monday, February 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the former Vandenboom School, 1175 Erie Ave. in Marquette.
First aid for cats and dogs is immediate, temporary care given to an injured animal until it can be taken to a veterinarian. The class will prepare pet owners for emergencies and teach them how to protect themselves and the animal from further harm, injury or suffering.
The Red Cross is also seeking volunteers with dog and cat first aid experience to teach a course. For information or to register for the class, call 869-3260.
