Calendar – Theater – Mexico’s Deaf Theatre Company Presentation – Jan. 19

Marquette – Alberto Lomnitz, founder of Mexico’s only deaf theatre company, will present “Mexico’s Deaf Theatre Company: The Intersection of Art and the Struggle for Social Justice for the Deaf” on Tuesday January 19 at 6 p.m. in the Mead Auditorium in the West Science building.

Clips from the plays he directed will be shown, and Lomnitz will discuss his involvement in the theatre company Sena y Verbo: teatro de Sordus, and how aesthetics and social justice have intertwined.
