<Hancock – The 34th annual Portage Canal Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, July 18 in Hancock.
The 10-mile walk will begin at 7 a.m., followed by the 10-mile run at 8 a.m. and the 5-mile Celebrity Run at 8:30 a.m.
Participants of the 5-mile run will compete against local celebrities. Entry fee is $23, with registration open through Wednesday, July 15.
Proceeds from the entrance fee for the Celebrity Run will benefit the entrant's charity of choice. The awards ceremony will be at approximately 11 a.m.
There will be a pre-race spaghetti dinneron Friday, July 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. in Finlandia Hall at Finlandia University. For dinner ticket or race information, call Kathy Johnson at 482-6002 or Arnie Kinnunen at 483-1558.
